The module with tool radius compensation in CNC, based on the programming contour, the offsetting direction of tool and the tool radius, could be used to reform the tool central trajectory where two contours meet. The modern CNC machining tools usually are equipped with the module with tool radius of function"C", namely, the meeting contour is line.The paper summarizes firstly the principle of NC technology and tool radius compensation, and then focus tool radius of function"C"on specific vector and analytic geometry algorithm, which includes respectively cutting, elongating, inserting, when two programming contours are treated simultaneously. The method about cutting and elongating can be summarized to get the intersection point of machining contour. As for the inserting, a small line is inserted at meeting contour for optimizing machining, because of the fewer angles at the non-machining side. Finally, in order to avoid overcutting, the algorithm about meeting of three tool central contour is researched.
