Research On Cold-resistant Sheet ABS Resin

The cold-resistant sheet ABS resin is high performance product, and the domestic consumption is very large. The producing process of ABS resin has high technology, and the complicated performance of domestic resin is less than the imported ABS sheet and can not meet the requirement of the domestic refrigerator.To solve this urgent problem, combining of excellent performance of ABS sheet(The ABS sheet has the following features: good thinning ability,good environmental stress cracking resistance;,good low temperature toughness, white, high gloss,small smell and so on), in this article the polymerization of the PB system, agglomeration technology, graft polymerization system, cohesion technology, emulsion method of SAN production technology and so on several elements have been researched, and have been carried out from pilot to commercial test. After that, the formula and process conditions of PB polymer, agglomeration, graft polymerization, emulsion method have been obtained to produce the cold-resistant ABS sheet. Through the researching, the synthetical process of cold-resistant ABS sheet is confirmed to be emulsion grafting-mass SAN-emulsion SAN resin compounding process. The above mentioned resin has following performance: the impact strength 280-345J/M, tensile strength 45-49MPa, melt index 0.3-1.0g/10min, tensile elongation 30-45%, heat distortion 82-84 degree, Rockwell hardness 100-107MPa. The indexes are entirely met the international standards of quality about the ABS sheet, and it is better to produce the refrigerator liner.
