In recent years, railway construction in china develops quickly, which has experienced speed increase for six times. However, with the increasing of train speed the requirement to railway infrastructure construction becomes more and more strict. And railway switch is one of the most important components. Currently, the adopted material of railway switch is mainly ZGMn13 high-manganese steel in china, which is a kind of difficult-to-cut material. Many factors for high-manganese steel to process difficultly exist and high temperature is one of them. It can make the cutting tool wear speedily and shorten the tool life. Therefore, the study on the rule of high-manganese steel's temperature is not only important for production practice, but also an important aspect of cutting mechanism. The trilling temperature of high-manganese steel used by railway switch is the research object in this dissertation. And experimental measurement is taken as the main study way.This dissertation summarizes the cutting temperature measuring methods in present and adopts semi-artificial thermocouple method to get the temperature signal. In order to meet the testing requirements of data collection, the drilling channels temperature signal amplifier is designed and manufactured. This amplifier can simultaneously amplify five channels with adjustable magnification and work steadily. To measure drilling temperature rapidly, conveniently and accurately, the collection and processing system of drilling temperature measurement data based on LabVIEW is developed. The software includes four modules: data acquisition, data playback, data processing and temperature calibration. It can realize the drilling temperature measurement of data collection, processing, analyze, storage, calibration of non-standard thermocouple and so on. For the software is integrated with data acquisition, processing and calibration, efficiency of the measurement can be greatly enhanced. Anti-jamming technology is adopted in many places of the entire testing system and the measurement accuracy is improved.Combining the system software with fast thermocouple calibration device, high-manganese steel and constantan thermocouples are calibrated by using fast single-point calibration method. The function equation of temperature-electric potential can be obtained by fitting linear function. And the record curve is amended in accordance with X-Y recorder.During drilling temperature measurement, the distribution along main cutting edge is studied by using single factor experiments during the process of drilling high manganese steel. By analyzing the effects of speed, feed rate and tool diameter to drilling temperature, the statistical broken line graph can be obtained. The temperature drilling empirical formula is established by use of self-made software processing modules. Through the test of significance using regression equation, it is shown that this equation is highly significant, and the foundation for further study is established.
