High request was put forward for testing of cutting process along with cutting process is developing to high speed, high precision and high automatization. In order to exert good performance of high automatization equipment, ensure machining quality and prove manufacture efficiency, it is more important to test for state of tool machining process. A lot of investigation indicates that measuring the cutting force and cutting temperature rapidly and exactly can help to research the metal cutting better. The data acquisition and processing system for cutting processing have been very important.Firstly, the principle of dynamometer and nature thermocouple is dissertated, and the demarcate methods of dynamometer and nature thermocouple is given. By measuring the temperature of tool joint in nature thermocouple loop, the cold point of nature thermocouple is corrected, and the testing precision is improved.Secondly, design new-type piezoelectric cutting sensor and circuit based on commercial piezoelectric sensor.Thirdly, based on LabVIEW, the software of data acquisition and processing system for cutting processing is developed. It concludes the data acquisition, data processing, data analysis and saving of data, the calibration of nature thermocouple, and so on. Because of integrating the data acquisition and data analyse, the efficiency of measurement is improved.Finally, the turning experiment is taken with the YG8 as tool and the 45 steel as workpiece, the cutting force and cutting temperature is measured and analyzed by this system, and the result proved the system is feasible and reliable.
