During the productivity of steel slabs, the quality of product mainly depends on the Art-Level of heat treatment. Due to a lot of priorities of Roller-Heart Furnace to the other ones such as easily to be Mechanized and Automated and continuously producing a huge number of products with high quality, it's widely adopted in the heat treating of slabs. Improving the control level of continuous roller-hearth furnace facilitates the enhancement of product quality and quantity.The author took part in the works of designing and develop of the control system including hardware configuration of control system,designing of network organization,research of control arithmetic and the works of actual debugging. The main work is researching and establishing the model of steel plate temperature prediction based on processing request. The model of steel plate temperature prediction in Roller Hearth Furnace is an important part of the project which influences on steel plate structure and mechanics performance,the quality of the heat treatment steel plate and competition ability in the market. After the model of steel plate temperature prediction was put into use, continuous efforts were made to improve the control precision, and now the system works effectively.The main works of this paper are as follows:(1)The structure and mechanism of the computer control system of the Roller-Hearth Furnace .(2)Establishing the model of steel plate temperature prediction based on processing request and heat-trans thesis, and creating the plate temperature prediction.(3)By using mode to emulate the steel plate heating process, calculate the total time in furnace of different kinds of steel slabs.(4)On the basis of mathematical model research, a computer control system was developed for optimizing a roller hearth furnace. The target of online control system is to ensure the quality of every slab in furnace.
