During the process of deep well drilling of oil-natural gas field, to ensure the normal operation of drilling work, for providing the high-quality well casing and stable well wall, the drilling fluid treating chemical with lot of contaminants are often used, especially the sulfonated polymer mud, which produced drilling wastewater. By the ordinary chemical coagulation treatment, there are still some problems of high COD (chemical oxygen demand), high colority and hard degradation, which need to further treatment. Aiming at drilling wastewater reaching the standard, many universities and research institutes are researching that. But the fault of technology equipment and high cost affect the experimentation fruit using in production actuality. carry out the detailed investigation to all kind of oil& natural gas treating chemical in the area of Sichuan and Chongqing, and especially analyze the drilling was\tewater and well completion wastewater on the base of analysis and researching the raw materials of sulfonated polymer mud, and cany out the research of contaminant elimination. By the large interior and field test and the characters of drilling wastewater, the coagulation treatment as the pre-treatment. Fenton reagent and ClO2 two-stage oxidation, and active carbon adsorption, the water quality reach the first level standard of GB8978:1996 Specification for Wastewater Multiply Discharge. In order to use the laboratory technology into the field, the suitable equipment has been designed, the coagulation treated drilling wastewater deposited and filtrated quickly by inclined pipe, and filled with two oxidants to the drilling wastewater to catalyze oxidation, and the outlet water is adsorbed by active carbon at the same time. The equipment has implemented two well whole process drilling water treatments. The result indicates that, the treated water reach the first level standard of GB8978:1996 Specification for Wastewater Multiply Discharge. The equipment is easy to transport and installation with popularized value in the treatment of petroleum drilling wastewater.
