The pre-process system in CNC system is the basis of NC function and data interface, which includes NC program decoding, tool compensation and mathematics process. In this paper, the decoding module of 5-axis double-channel CNC system is designed base on Windows NT RTX accoding to the needs of this system. A double NURBS interpolation method with the satisfy of geometric precision for 5-axis interpolation is presented and studied. Furthermore, some key technology of 5-axis interpolation is studied.1. Functional Analysis of the millturn machining center is accomplished. The docoding module of CNC system is also expanded in this paper. Some custom function, including fixed cycle,macro-programe and subprogram, are expanded and realized. That makes the system obtain the basic function of the high-end CNC system.2. The decoding module and data interface of 5-axis double-channel CNC system is developed.Accoding to the existing information of double-channel CNC system, the function of the system is analyzed. The G-code programming specification of double-channel CNC system is presented in this paper. The decoding module and data interface is based on VC+RTX platform. The decoding function and the data transmission is realized. Software testing and the actual processing proved the accuracy and reliability of the system.3. A double NURBS interpolation method with the satisfy of geometric precision for 5-axis interpolation is studied and realized. For the shortcomings of linear interpolation in complex surface machining, the mathod is presented and the geometric error of this method is also analyzed in this peper. The mathod is realized by programing based on VC. Software testing and the actual processing proved the accuracy and reliability of the system.
