Plastic products are increasingly used in the daily consumer goods and industrial products field. Injection mold which is used to manufacture plastic products, its demand is also growing. Traditional injection mold design and manufacture mainly relies on designers' experience and staffs' skills. Only through mold testing can know if the design reasonable or not, and the correcting of manufacturing defects mainly depends on repeatedly repairing the mold. This is not only difficult to ensure the quality of the mold, but also to mold the development cycle is too long, unstable quality and high cost. The application of computer simulation processing technology, can greatly improve the quality of plastic mold, shorten the product development cycle, and reduce mold design and manufacturing costs.In this thesis, the virtual simulation technology and mold machining technology systems theory is discussed. According to the characteristics of plastic injection mold of fan, its NC machining process design was optimized, analyses the influence of machining accuracy manufacturing quality by machining parameters and using MasterCAM software for Machining simulation and check of processing, carried out post-processing, and output processing of NC code.This paper introduces the virtual simulation technology and mold CNC machining technology, explained the current business use of virtual manufacturing system can make the mold design and processing of modern digital manufacturing technology to a new level of need. Then, introducing the characteristics of the machining simulation and using MasterCAM software for virtual simulation of the fan mold processing, study the implementation process of virtual simulation process, and analysis of virtual environments in the preparation of the mold cavity CNC milling process technology for different processing characteristics, different processing methods.Specific arrangements are used the implementation of the cavity NC machining process. Finally, discusses the mold parts in CNC Machining Simulation in Process Optimization , focuses on the cavity tool path and the optimization of processing parameters, and the cutting parameters of the fan injection mold design has been optimized. The following results have been achieved:1. Building solutions of mold simulation system. The construction of system' frame and design scheme after the Process of collecting mould & die material data, milling data and expert experience and knowledge in the enterprises at home and abroad.2. Using MasterCAM software for machining process simulation of fan die. MasterCAM compare other CAD / CAM software With 3D modeling and processing modules, study pattern of other software modeling and MasterCAM software simulation processing, and their data type conversionwere got. Comparison of the mold cavity through the processing method, processing method and processing parameters of the fan cavity die are decided.3. Optimization of machining parameters.Focuses on the optimization of the tool path design and optimization of milling cavity machining parameter. By analyzing the tool path generation methods, the goal of processing efficiency by Genetic Algorithm determine tool path planning the fan cavity mold machining. By analysis optimize the processing parameters in the simulation environment, optimize the choice of tool and how to optimize the cutting speed and feed rates.
