Traditional injection mold design is mainly dependent on complex calculations and theexperience of the designers; besides, the mold after the completion of the design also need togo through a number of debugging before formally put into production, If the problem occursin the process, not only the process parameters need to be re-adjusted and the structure ofparts and molds may also be modified. Such conventional production modes both extend theproduction cycle, but also greatly increase the cost of production. In this paper, we designedthe injection mold3D design system based on the properties that the generic injection moldparts standardization and serialization is relatively high, and the characteristics that theamount of information of the part size parameters is very large,. This system is not only ableto do parametric design of the same series of the parts, but also can manage individually thesize of the parameter library of parts, which makes the of the size parameters library possessstrong expandability, so that it can meet the user’s dual needs of standard parts andnon-standard parts in the design process. Meanwhile, it improves the designer’s efficiency onthe injection mold design.In this paper, we firstly use UG system to generate injection products, then imported intothe mold flow analysis Moldflow software,and use the predetermined algorithms byMoldflow software to complete these operation of the meshing, the establishment of thegating system cooling system and the set of process parameters on the imported products,finally, proceed the injection molding process simulation and evaluate the simulation results.Besides, we use the orthogonal experimental method to analyze the effects of the moldtemperature, melt temperature, injection time, packing pressure and holding pressure time onwarpage of injection molded parts, and proceed several statistical analysis on Warpage anddefects of the products in mold flow analysis process, then identify the process parameterswhich have significant effects on the defects such as warpage by analysis of variance and pooranalysis. By optimizing the process parameters, we can get the best combination of process parameters which can make the product warpage value minimum, which provides effectivetheoretical support for obtaining injection molding process parameters in the actualproduction.
