Study And Development Of Straight Mold Type Slab Caster Basic Design And Its Cad System

Caster basic design is a new idea of casting engineering design in recent years. Caster basic design includes roller-layout design, checking calculation, water design, throwing resistance calculation, etc. The basic design of a caster is the main task and basis of the whole caster design project, its calculation work is volume, and there are many aspects needed to be considered. The caster basic design is an important symbol of the caster design level, and is a complex engineering goods designing work. In order to meet the requirements of rapid development of iron and steel enterprises, research is based on modern design methods of basic caster design technology, develop CAD design software. Ensuring the design quality, shortening design period, improving the design efficiency, it has vital significance.This paper takes straight curved slab caster as design object, based on the theory of the present basic caster design, develop a set of software of the slab caster the basic design and CAD system based on VB2005.The paper studies in using modular design as guiding ideology, relies on software for principle and implementation method of Caster basic design. System software design use VisualBasic2005 as developing platform, uses forms and controls to design application, thus, improves the efficiency of the development application. Drawing parts use AutoCAD as supporting platform, using its powerful graphics functions and good interface technology Applicant VB2005 for its development, and generate the roller-layout drawing automatically.The function of the software is as followed:(1)Calculate and output the main parameters table of slab caster;(2)Calculate and output the roller-layout sizes table of slab caster;(3)Calculate and output the checking calculation results of slab caster;(4)Calculate and output the mechanics performance curve of roller-layout; (5)Draw the roller-layout drawing of slab caster.Caster basic designing software set designing calculations checking and drawing in one, Can improves the efficiency of the design staff, Has a strong engineering application and good scalability, has a certain practical value in the production practice.
