With the development of technology and people's understanding of the oceans, antifouling paints had been more and more attention gradually, composite coatings with low surface energy which is an important way to solve the problem of deface. Fluorocarbon coating is one kind of low surface energy antifouling paints, compared with traditional coatings with excellent properties; nano-hybrid inorganic/organic materials can combine the rigidity of the inorganic phase with the toughness of the organic phase more effectively, which has a more broad application prospects to improve the coating performance; tourmaline powder with spontaneous polarization effects and spontaneous nature of the permanent electrode, adsorption of anions, generate weak current, get more attentions in preparation of anti-corrosion anti-fouling paints. Combination of special properties of various materials prepared by high performance composite coating has become a hotspot of international concern.Under the acid catalysis combined nano-hybrid inorganic/organic silicon materials with tourmaline powder by sol-gel method, and put the low surface energy of fluorocarbon as a film-forming substances, preparation of tourmaline, silica/fluorocarbon resin composite coatings, and analysis of the reaction conditions, structure, morphology, ion release rate, mechanical properties and surface water contact angle.The research result shows that, In the process of preparation of silica sol by sol-gel, water content is the key factor to affect the structure and Property of the product; temperature is the key factor to determine the gel time; after the introduction of the-CH3 group in the organic precursor, hydrophobic properties of the coating can be enhanced. The experiment about tourmaline joined in situ, through the coatings about ion release rate, water contact angle, pencil scratch hardness and surface roughness were measured and found that after the different amounts of tourmaline powder and silica added, the performance results have been changed, which means during the preparation of the coatings tourmaline and silica have improved the performance of the coatings. The experiment about tourmaline joined in blend, analysis of the factors that affect coating performance by the orthogonal and the results show that, silica content is the most important factors to affect surface water contact angle of coatings, reaction temperature and reaction time is the most important factors to affect adhesion of coatings, TEOS content is the most important factors to affect pencil scratch hardness of coatings; optimum reaction conditions are the reaction time is 60min, the concentration of silica sol is 35%, the concentration of tourmaline is 20%, n(TEOS):n(MTES) is 2:1, reaction temperature is 90℃.
