The Research On The Theory Of Straightening On Continuous Casting SLAB

Straightening technology of continuous casting slab plays an important role in highly effective continuous casting technology, which has become a research focus in the continuous casting field. The continuous casting slab straightening technology has experienced a long development process: from one-point straightening and multiple-point straightening to continuous straightening technology which is represented by CONCAST continuous straightening, and recently new continuous casting technology with constant strain speed rate fixing roller continuous straightening is developed.This paper is based on elastoplasticity theory, analyzed some common straightening methods and the limitation of their industry application, and paid attention to discuss design methods about multi-point straightening and continuous straightening. According to existing continuous casting's high temperature creep parameters, this paper has carried on calculation and confirmation on creep strain in continuous straightening process. In addition, straightening torque formula derivation of continuous casting's continuous straightening is made from elastic-plastic deformation mechanism. This paper analyzed the torque's influence on arc forging cast from mechanic perspective, proposed the method of determining flexural trajectories equation, pointed out the design limitation of CONCAST continuous straightening curve, and gave a new continuous straightening curve, which is an ideal curve that there is no camber mutation in tie point of new continuous straightening curve and flexural curve. Combined with the practical situation of continuous casting product line of Molong Company, the author has calculated the curvature radius and the deflection of connection point with its continuous straightening parameters, improved the continuous straightening on its single point straightening technology, and successfully applied the new continuous straightening curve in the industry and made the remarkable process.This paper's research has provided the theoretical basis for theoretical research of the continuous straightening and continuous straightening improvement of the continuous casting product line.
