In the 21st century, the global environment problem, especially the greenhouse effect caused by carbon dioxide emissions is serious increasingly. As an only renewable carbon source that can store solar energy, biomass is a renewable energy, and can be transformed into solid, liquid and gaseous fuels. For China's liquid fuel is scarce and the liquid fuel have the advantages of high energy density, easy transportation, the development of liquid fuels of biomass has drawn greater attention. Among biomass liquefaction technology, fast pyrolysis is suited to China's resource-rich characteristics of straw, and has large value of research and promotion. The key lab of biomass clean energy at USTC of Anhui Province developed a biomass pyrolysis equipment of handling capacity of 120 kg / h. Because the fuel property of bio-oil was badly, it's hardly to be used in the tranditional device. The technology of bio-oil emulsified with diesel by nonionic surfactants was researched in this paper. The effect of HLB value, emulsify temperature, emulsify time on the emulsion stability was also investigated. Experimental results indicated that the stable emulsions of bio-oil in diesel came into being by nonionic surfactant with the help of cosurfactant at 30~50℃. The experiments on the physicochemical and corrosive properties of emulsion were also tested, the chemical states of the elements on metal surface were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and put the emulsion test on the engine, the results of emission of emulsion showed that the contents of CH and CO was increasing, but the NOx was decreased than traditional fuel.At the same time, this paper focused on increasing the pH value via isolating acids from bio-oil by trioctylamine extraction. Two factors, the extraction concentration and diluents used were investigated to improve the extraction efficiency. The results of corrosive test of metal showed that the refined bio-oil had better resistance than crude bio-oil.
