Gears are the basic components in mechanical transmission, and widely be used in vehicles, machine tools, aerospace and other fields. With the development of technology, engineering applications demand gears have high precision, high speed, high-strength, which bring a higher requirement to gears'material and manufacturing technology. gear honing is the last working procedure of quench hardening gears'Precise Processing, so this working procedure have direct relation with gears'manufacturing accuracy and engagement quality . Traditional gear honing has some limitations which is a drawback to raise the efficiency and quality of gears'precise processing. To overcome this problem, ultrasonic is used in gears'honing which fully unfold the characteristics of gear honing, besides this, it also advanced the efficiency and quality of gears'precise processing. Researches on ultrasonic honing obtain the national natural science fund's subsidies.In ultrasonic honing, gear is the manufacturing objects; it also is the loads of ultrasonic vibration system. Usual plate gear have big diameter, but thin in depth, and have a axle hole in the center, so it can be simplified into a thin disc ring. Amplitude transformer is made up of thin disc ring and an amplitude transformer rod .This paper researched ultrasonic amplitude transformer's measuring system in some aspects.Firstly, the domestic and foreign research results and their respective characteristics are briefly introduced.Secondly, the principle and composition of ultrasonic and ultrasonic machining are discussed in this paper, after that, the principle of ultrasonic honing is elaborated full of detail and dynamic analysis on ultrasonic honing is done. This paper focus on ultrasonic amplitude transformer's design processes, dynamic equation, technical performance. The ultrasonic amplitude transformer's dynamic analysis is fully introduced in this paper and a step cut transformer is designed.Thirdly, a new way to measure material's modulus of elasticity is provide in this paper , in order to applicable, accurate and convenient, this paper measured ultrasonic amplitude transformer's materials'natural frequency by knocking ,materials'modulus of elasticity are obtained based on those natural frequencies. And those results also are compared with the data that form experiment. Through contrast test, the relation among knocking dynamism , natural frequency and amplitude of vibration is detected in this paper ,after measuring many ultrasonic amplitude transformer's natural frequency, this paper compared those data with design parameters , the deviation between those data and design parameters also be researched . At last, briefly introduced impedance analyzer, and the impedance characteristic of amplitude transformer and transducer is measured by impedance analyzer.At the end of this paper is the conclusion and expectation, point out the shortage and the right way.
