Now, there are some problems in drilling process at Jilin Oilfield which drilling fluid is not match reservoir and wellbore is unstable. Aiming at solving these problems, we research on membrane drilling fluid which is suitable for Qianan area in Jilin Oilfield. The theoretical principles are physical chemistry and colloidal chemistry, on the basis of membrane technology, we studied properties of semipermeable membrane, physical and chemical properties of shale, resrarched on possibility of membrane, and caculated membrane efficiency according to equilibrium principle of chemical potential. Consequently, we systematically studied membrane efficiency influenced by activity, porosity and permeability. So we get the method which improve the membrane efficiency of shale, and get the drilling fluid formula which resloves shale instability. Through theoretical analysis, Zeta potential test, cuttings roller recovery test, SSI test, and some experiments, we analysed characteristics of Qianan area in Jilin Oilfield, and evaluated the membrane efficiency, the compatibility, the rheology behavior, the inhibition, the aggravation, the contamination resistance, the lubrication and the reservoir protection of this drilling fluid system. Experiments showed that this membrane drilling fluid is very suitable for Qianan area in Jilin Oilfield, and it is easy to adjust it's properties with a good compatibility and an excellent anti-caving behavior, the membrane drilling fluid system also raises return permeability, and protects reservoir effectively.
