The Crankshaft machining complex lathe is a new accurate technology, it can settle the problems of low working accuracy and low precision in classical turning. The planetary differential is the key part to make this technology come true and its characters directly affect efficiency quality of crankshaft. At the beginning, only for the planetary differential to analyze.The article first introduce and prove the theory for the planetary differential, and build the model in pro/e software, check the intensity and rigidity of planetary gear drive system. The analysis result indicates that initial design is reasonable. Then study on the modeling and simulating of planetary differential of the crankshaft machining complex lathe.1) Establish the virtual prototype of the planetary gear drive system of the planetary differential, is build with 3D solid modeling software Pro/Engineer.2) Import the virtual prototype model into ADAMS with the interface of pro/e and ADAMS, then simulate virtual prototype on kinematics and dynamics. The drive ratio and contact forces can be solved, and the structure are validated be reasonable.3) Import the planet carrier of the planetary gear drive system into AN SYS with the interface of pro/e and ANSYS, established the finite element analyzing model. The statics of structures is analyzed on the model, then acquire the nephograms of the stress distribution and displacement distribution. and come to a conclusion that the design is rational and accurate.
