Study On The Corporate Environmental Responsibility And Its Implementation Mechanism

Environmental problems are getting worse day by day, which cause great threat to the sustainable development of the economy and even the survival of mankind. It occurs radically from pollutant, environmental damage and resources poverty caused by human activities especially industrial activities. People gradually realize that corporate, as the most important economic subject, has great impact on the environment. Corporate must take responsibilities for the environment while using the environmental resources. So, there is the issue of corporate environmental responsibility. In theory, corporate environmental responsibility is not only the continuance and development of corporate social responsibility theory, but also the important embodiment of legislation response to the notion of sustainable development. In practice, as the producers, corporate use up the most resources and let out all kinds of wastes. So it is especially important to build corporate environmental responsibility mechanism to make corporate undertake certain responsibilities for environmental interests while implementing stockholders' interests, in order to save the maximum resources and protect the environment.Generally following the idea of "raise problem-analyze problem-solve problem", this thesis makes a profound research on the corporate environmental responsibility and its implementation mechanism. The total is divided into four parts.The first part is legal analysis, outlined the corporate environmental responsibility and its meaning and characteristics. The second part analyses the general basis of the corporate environmental responsibility from practice and theory, in order to find the legitimacy basis for corporate environmental responsibility. The third part analyses the current situation of China's corporate environmental responsibility from legislative and practical perspectives, and points out the problems and their causes. In fourth part, combining with the actual situation, the author try to construct the mechanism to achieve corporate environmental responsibility in three aspects of idea, legislation and supporting systems.
