Sheet metal parts are always used in the fields of automobile,shipping,metallurgy,light industry,aerospace,and so on.With the development of industry and the growing of market demand,to improve design speed and quality further is needed. The unfold of sheet metal is the most important work of the process. It is is a prerequisite to complete the design of sheet metal parts correctly and to get an accutate unfold size for processing of sheet metal.Sheet metal layout is that,after having gotten the unfolded drawings,to put the unfolded drawings of a series of different shape parts on the given sheet,to choose the proper layout ways and to find out the optimal way.On the system, designed to take advantage of CAD technology for accurate calculation of the sheet metal and quick setting out, at the same time, take advantage of the optimal design for the optimal layout of layout, it can help improve the efficiency and material utilization.The paper focuses on the research of metal sheet layout .It adopts based on the lowest level line search algorithm and genetic algorithm to solve the optimal problem of sheet metal parts layout.During the reseach ,the main results as follows:(1) Build up a system frame of the three-layers B/S structural sheet metal's unfolding and layout system based on Web technologies,by using .NET platform.(2) Aiming at the unfolding design of sheet metal,firstly ,finish the sheet metal's define on character,and then conclude the sheet metal character unfolding formula by using analytic method.Based on it,using COM technologies,compile the calculation module of sheet metal,meanwhile,based on ActiveX technologies,using AutoCAD and SolidWorks secondary exploit interface,achieve the middleware exploit of unfolding drawing and modueling.(3) Aiming at the layout design of sheet metal,the study focuse on the layout based on rectangular parts. For the anomalistic parts,adopt rectangular envelope method as pretreatment,chang them to rectangular parts to solve.At first,study the rectangular parts'layout arithmetic such as Bottom-Left and the lowest level line. and also use search algorithm based on the lowest level line to achieve rectangular parts'layout.(4) Based on rectangular algorithm, The paper study the genetic algorithms, simulated annealing algorithms, this paper uses a genetic algorithm to optimize the layout. First of all determine the layout for utilization as a moderate function, using decimal numbers, select the crossover operator, mutation operator, select operator , It used the lowest level line search algorithm for decoding,called expand the drawing module to painted sheet metal layout drawing. (5) The structure design of database.The system uses SQL Server 2005,and achieve the storage of the user'information and the disposal data of sheet metals by using ADO.NET.In this system, the user can input parameters in browser, then you have the appropriate sheet metal unfold diagram and layout results graphics, and can be displayed in IE. Significantly reduced design tasks, and help to increase productivity and the economic efficiency of enterprises. Adapted to the modern manufacturing industry information and networking needs.
