This paper studies the characteristics of photosynthetic bacteria colony used glucose and pig manure wastewater in continuous hydrogen production process, it provides a scientific reference for further improving photosynthetic bacteria continuous hydrogen production technology. The result showed that:(1) It observed patterns of photosynthetic bacteria under the microscope, we found mixed bacteria are mainly spherical, long rods, short rods, spiral, arc, etc. Some cells are single growth; some cells also assembled into a variety of cells to form filaments or filamentous chains. Many photosynthetic bacteria are seen in the movement from the suspension, this is because most of them have long flagella.(2) Through determination of absorption spectra of living cells used UV scanning, photosynthetic bacteria were 230nm, 250nm, 806nm, 860nm department has absorption peaks.(3) No matter what kind of hydrogen production using matrix, when the reactor started operation, the greater photosynthetic bacteria inoculums, the more the number of photosynthetic bacterium, especially in the first day of the proliferation of more photosynthetic bacteria. As an added photosynthetic bacteria for hydrogen production, the steady decline in photosynthetic bacteria can not meet the demand for continuous hydrogen production; every 8 days plus a photosynthetic bacteria, photosynthetic bacteria just to meet the requirements of continuous hydrogen production. Photosynthetic bacteria proliferation only in the first days, when the next day to begin mass production of hydrogen photosynthetic bacteria, the photosynthetic rate on the proliferation of bacteria is much less than the speed of his decline.(4) directly affect the concentration of photosynthetic bacteria photosynthetic bacterial hydrogen production, the greater the concentration of photosynthetic bacteria, hydrogen production is also more.(5) The photosynthetic bacteria in 2 #, 3 # the maximum concentration of photosynthetic bacteria, the largest amount of hydrogen.
