Contraposing with the serious laggard actuality between China and foreign countries in PDC test equipment, and the defects of PDC test equipment that we are using, in virtue of the three-dimensional solid designing software Solidworks, designed the new drilling characteristic test equipment of PDC, and did systemic research on this equipment.In this Equipment, all actuators were driven by hydraulic pressure. Under the premise of the function of the hydraulic system meet design requirements, in the aspects of choosing hydraulic pieces, and designing hydraulic circuits, abided the principal of energy conservation. Reduced reactive power consumption and improved energy efficiency.Designed the movement controlling system of the equipment in three kinds of manipulation: manual, semiautomatic and automatic. Improved the degree of automation, simplified the operation of PDC drilling test, and reduced the intensity of the testing personnel.Designed data acquisition system of the equipment based on virtual instrument. Achieved pressure control system and speed control system based on closed-loop control. Designed data acquisition program and interface of the equipment used LabVIEW. The parameters of pressure and speed needed in testing were set in the interface. The collected signal was displayed in the interface in chart and digital form. Finally,the data was stored in computer.The paper used the hydraulic system simulation software LMS Imagine Lab AMEsim did the math modeling of feeding circuit and rotary drilling circuit. Then, did simulation research, the simulation results showed the characteristics of the equipment.
