Delayed coking is one of the main lighting processes of heavy oil and Coker furnace isthe core equipment. How to regulate the main adjustable operating parameters of delayedcoking, that is able to reasonably coordinate the inside key parameters of heater pipes and toobtain the highest light product, in the situation of the different feedstock property incondensating and cracking tendency is an important task. For the feedstock of delayed cokingwhich is difficult not only to condensating but also to cracking, operating conditions could becontrolled harshly among the domestic level to obtain the highest light product, especiallyliquid product. For the feedstock which is easy not only to condensating but also to cracking,the benefit should be sacrificed to achieve the safe operation. For the feed which is easy tocoking but difficulty to cracking, or easy to cracking but difficulty to coking, how to adjustthe operation parameters depend on the practical experience.The work of my theme consists mainly of three parts: 1. collecting feedstock samplesand their corresponding operating parameters in different continued date of delayed cokingfrom QingDao petrochemical company. The number of the feedstock samples collected isthirty. All the samples have been tested byspecific experiments, this can indicate the tendencyof condensating and cracking, and the experimental data reflect the feedstock's property. Inaddition to those, the feedstock's product distribution has been predicted by the data ofsamples'"same raction condition experiments". 2. Using furnace utility software package, thekey technological parameters inside of heater pipes, such as residence time above 430℃,inside percent conversion of cracking,heat of reaction furnace provided, have been obtainedby inputting the operating data of delayed coking and analoging calculation. 3. By contrastwith other delayed coking plant domestic, the operation condition in QingDao petrochemical company have been analyzed in detail and considering the feedstock property, the optimizingoperating precept has been given.Those are: comparing with other delayed coking plant, the feedstock in QingDaopetrochemical company is easier not only to condesating but also to cracking, and theresiduum yield and gas yield is higher; comparing with other delayed coking plant, theoperating condition in QingDao petrochemical company could be optimized to a moreeconomic condition, and the innovative approach in my opinion is decreaseing steaminjection quantity and adjusting the outlet temperature of the furnace, so to extend theresidence time above 430℃, and augment the heat the furnace provided. For the differentfeedstock in QingDao petrochemical company, there are differences in property. Besides, thequality of the operation condition in different data is different. The operation in 7th August2009 is better and the operation in 24th June 2009 is worse.
