Study On The Technique Of Crude Oil Anti-wax Using Alternating Magnetic Field

Most crudes produced in our country are thick oil. In the development process of oil field, the paraffin is very likely to block the oil flow channel and affect the regular production of oil wells, because it is generally deposited on the wall of oil pipes and in the ground equipments after being precipitated from crude oil. If paraffin deposit is serious, oil wells are even forced to stop production. Therefore, many oil workers are seeking various processing methods of paraffin removal and prevention to extend the paraffin cycle of wells and increase economic efficiency. The magnetic technique has many advantages such as easy to install and use, almost no maintenance, low investment and able to root out the damage and pollution to crude oil and reservoir induced by paraffin removal and prevention etc. So it has been promoted and applied in some oil fields.However, at home and abroad, the research on paraffin prevention technology by using alternating magnetic field has rarely studied so far. The relationships between paraffin prevention effect and magnetic field frequency, and magnetic field waveform are investigated by lab experiment with two methods in this paper. The first method is that we use viscosity-temperature curve method to determine the parameters. While the second is that we measure the rate of paraffin deposit on the wall of pipes to determine the parameters. By experimental research, we find that the optimal frequency determined by using viscosity-temperature curve is different from the one determined by measuring the paraffin deposit rate, the former is 300Hz, while the later is 1700Hz. But we obtain the same optimal field waveform by these two methods, which is sine wave.For different crude oil, the components of oil are also different. Then the optimal parameters of alternating magnetic field will vary. But the oil adopted in our experiments is only from an oil field, so the results obtained can only illustrate a special state.Based on the previous theory of paraffin prevention, the micro-mechanism of alternating magnetic field is investigated with the lab experiments. The research of this paper can provide a new technology and theory of paraffin prevention of crude oil for oil fields.
