Research On Design Safety Of Children Furniture Aiming At Furniture Of Children In 2-6 Years

"Children furniture" is a kind of equipment which is fit for 0-18 years'children's psychological and physiological characteristics and can satisfy children's living, entertainment and study demand. According to the statistic datas, there are over 300 million children under 16 years and 171 million under 6 years in China, it also means,there's great potential in Children furniture development. Children furniture has many problems in design,especially the security,such as excess formaldehyde release, activate and thick color, unseemliness size and so on. These designs fall short of children's psychological and physiological demands, which results in the unsafety states in Children furniture, so security plays an important role and reference value in Children furniture's design.According to the paper, some research methods are used, such as literature searches, field survey, diagram analyses and concluding deductive, which involves psychics and statistics and the relevant subjects, especially, by using the method of diagram analysis, we select typical cases of the security of Children furniture's design to statistic,conclude and analyse. After the thorough analysis of children's psychological and physiological characteristics, the paper studied the security of children furniture's design from the aspects of material, form, color and human engineering, and put forword a scientific systematic method on Children furniture's security design as well as a security design standard. Some suggestions are presented as follows:In Children furniture's material design, environmental protection and innocuous materials should be used accordding to the national standard; In the form design, rounding corner design are needed in Children furniture; In the color design, safe psychological colors are proposed for Children; In human engineering aspect, scientfic size of Children furniture should be adopted under the consideration of children's psychology and physiology scale; In use function,multifunction demand of Children furniture should be emphasized.Result of this paper provide some useful advices on security design standard of Children furniture of our country, which may have great significance to the development of Children furniture industry.
