Plate stamping technology is one kind of important plastic forming method, has many characteristics as high production efficiency, product superior performance, the low production cost, the high use rate of materials and so on, widely used in industrial fields such as automotive, aerospace, instruments. About 70% of the components are stamping In the car body structure. The characteristics of the car covering are large size, much free-form surface and dramatic changes curve surface. Forming process involves geometric nonlinearity, material parameter nonlinearity and stress strain complex, the boundary of problems and contact friction and so on, that make stamping drawing technology design stricter and more exact. It is hard to obtain satisfactory results only on designer's experience and repeated error correction mold debugging method.In car design and manufacture of the whole cycle, body covering mould design and the manufacture of automobile development cycle is about two thirds of the time. In the current car models renewal frequent market environment, customer for the cars beautiful degree requirements more and more high, for car space aesthetic feeling more diversified, the forming quality of body covering affects the competitiveness of their products. It has become an urgent need to resolve technical difficult problem about upgrade the part drawing quality , shorten the cycle of mould design and debugging, realize mould highly efficient and stable production. The problem about wrinkling, crack, plastic deformation not fully recurring in the anaphase of die commissioning, cause by the influence of parts modeling, prophase die technology design flaws, the error solution and so on. With the development of computer technology, CAD/CAM/CAE/CAPP such as integration of intelligent design technology has been widely applied to process design.This article takes the drawing quality of the body-side outer panel in a mini-car as the research object, research about the drawing process design principle and the generating mechanism of quality defects in system for the covering parts of car body. To static simulating the strain state of parts after drawing by using Auto Form, the sheet metal forming numerical simulation software. The simulation results are analyzed and summarized, And use grid analysis method analysis of parts, which formulated mould repair project to solve the drawing quality problem the body-side outer, verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. Let the die have stable batch production conditions, carry out the purpose of shorten the commissioning period, lower development costs, accumulate experience for drawing technology design and mould repair project to similar forming condition parts, and provides reference scheme.
