Large concentrated volumes of manure produced and applied to nearby relatively small land areas has led to environmental concerns. As a result of increasing environmental awareness, best management practices have been implemented to ease this imbalance. Composting has received increasing interest as a method handling various types of animal manures. However, there are problems of the loss of N via NH3 volatilization, lower effective nutrient content and high pH of some compost products and other issues. MSG wastewater is a high concentration of strong acid organic wastewater, the current treatment of monosodium glutamate wastewater exists the problem of high energy consumption and repeated pollutions during processes, and it needs to find cheaper and easier approach. In the basis of previous work, The study applied the microorganism that has gotten to composting animal manures. In this research, monosodium glutamate wastewater served as a kind of additive because of its acid, and adding time and ratio of MSG wastewater in composting were studied. The main results obtained by this research as follows:(1) Simulation tests show that adding the fermentation agents can improve the microbial activity in composting materials, speed up the composting process; adding monosodium glutamate wastewater can significantly reduce the pH value of composting materials, and increase the ion content of materials, the products of compost are available to increase nutrient content and nitrogen levels.(2) The results of monosodium glutamate wastewater proportion test show that adding 2% proportion of monosodium glutamate wastewater can reduce the pH effectively and less the loss of N via NH3 volatilization. Smaller proportion will not achieve the desired effects, and bigger one will impact compost maturity and seed germination index.(3) The results of simulation test results show that it can got better results if adding 2% Monosodium glutamate wastewater two or three days before high temperature of composting, and it cannot be effective if adding the MSG wastewater after the beginning of composting.(4) Design and manufacture of a composting simulation test device can make compost temperature reached 55 degrees Celsius, and can maintain more than 5 days, consistent with sound standards for compost. Compost in 20 days to maturity of handling.(5) The results of adding monosodium glutamate wastewater in Semi-finished compost products test show that it can keep the pH of composting products below 8.0 until the end of compost that adding 2% monosodium glutamate wastewater, and the products become thoroughly decomposed.
