Firstly it summarized, analyzed and evaluated the techniques and methods of processing the polluted water at home and abroad, and then focuses on the analysis of the feasibility of biological contact oxidation. With the polluted water in Shaoshan village, Shaoshan city as an example, the test explores the function and operation mode of biological contact oxidation, Through the variance analysis of input and output water, The results shows that the water purifying affection differ from time and season. Generally, summer is best, and winter is worst. The difference is mainly caused by environmental temperature and microorganism activity.Through the research of processing town-type polluter water system towards the quality of output water in different season, it shows that the biological contact oxidation has good effect in Shaoshan village towards the polluted water. The output water of COD,TN,TP has reached second level in the country, and partly has reached first level. The concentration of COD output maintain at 100-150mg/L, The concentration of TN output maintain at 5~12mg/L, The concentration of TP maintain at 0.5-0.8mg/L.Through the research of users, it shows that the degradation rate of COD,TN and TP are drop gradually. The Standard deviation differs slightly, it shows that different location, climate and year has little influence on the biological contact oxidation system. Finally based on the research of output water quality in ten demonstrated villages in 2008,it shows that the biological contact oxidation system has good effect on processing the polluted water, the output water of COD and TN have reached first level of the country, and TP has reached second level.
