The dielectric materials are mainly used for capacitor because of the dielectric, piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties. It is widely used in the field of electronic information technique. The property of multilayer materials is equal to the superposition of monolayer materials, it is more accordance with the miniaturization and high performance of the electronic devices. The multilayer materials have become the main stream of the market.In this paper, a method of sol-gel is used to prepare the ZnO powder. Study on the process and mechanism, use dry pressing method and flow casting method to prepare the ZnO dielectric material. Sinter the materials at 1200℃, the sintered body is compact and the grains grows well. Study on the surface morphology and electrical properties, compared the advantages and disadvantages of these methods.Study on the process of the sol-gel method and the effect of the solvent, binder, dispersant, and other additives. Choose the solvent and additives. Use cyclohexanone and butyl alcohol as solvents, tributyl phosphate as dispersant, PVB as binder, di-n-butyl phthalate as plasticizer. Confirm the content of the solvent and additives. Study on the influence on the properties of the material.Study on the process of excreting the organic compounds and sintering. Ensure the material do not crack during these processes. Test the electrical properties of the ZnO multilayer dielectric materials.
