Beams are important components of vertical lathe CK5116. Columns connected by beams, and under the beams inside and outside the various loads. If beams structure is unreasonable, it is difficult to ensure the accuracy, and the material will be wasted. So the static characteristics and dynamic characteristics of the beams is the groundwork of design,improvement and optimization of beams structure,which is one key of ensuring better performance of the whole automobile.In this paper,a kind of vertical lathe CK5116 beams is taken for the research object.and also argument and analysis questions about strength,stiffness,vibration and structural optimization.Mainly research contents as follows:1)Under the premise of ensuring fully reflect the actual structure of the mechanical properties and the structure of the beams model,simplifying the model to save significant computing time.Under the premise of analysis unit in the quantity,quality,layout with a solid element SOLID185 on the whole discredited body,and then the finite element model of the beams is founded.2)In the static analysis,the maximum deformation and stress on the beams under the condition of bending and torsion are found , the stress nephogram and displacement nephogram of the beams are also calculated.So it can get the dangerous position of the beams.3)In the dynamic analysis , which includes modal analysis and harmonic analysis.In modal analysis,the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the beams is obtained under constraint condition.The max amplitude and their corresponding range of frequencies for different point at cycle incentive of the ground are determined through the harmonic analysis.Above all provide reference information for improving the beams design.4)Parametric modeling beams is conducted and also using optimization module in ANSYS1 0.0 software to optimize the beams by seeing the beams horizontal,longitudinal cross-sectional dimensions as design variables,the deformation as the constraints condition and the total volume of the beams as objective function.Get the optimal values of all the beams section to reduce the quality of the beams.
