Wood Plastic Composites (WPC) is a new environmentally friendly energy-saving materials which has been developing rapid in recent years, with WPC in construction and decorative sheet metal industry have been widely used, the extrusion technology requirements have been heightened.Well-designed extrusion die for improving production efficiency has very important significance.In this paper, based on the traditional design method,the author preliminary designed the structure and size of the car decoration profile extrusion die. Considering the three factors of die swell effect,stretching deformation effect,the cooling effect, Designed the size of extrusion die.Because a lot of the shortcomings of traditional design methods was found in the design process of the WPC extrusion die, optimization design is necessary.Analysed the impact on the balance of the fluid flow, the straight length and compression angle as structural parameters of the extrusion die has the greatest impact. Based on the ANSYS finite element optimal design software,the author do simulate Orthogonal experimental with the two parameters which each has three levels. The fluid speed distribution and pressure distribution of the mold body with different parameters was obtained.According to the structure characteristic of the multi-channel extrusion die, flow rate balance and the largest pressure drop was determined as the optimization index. According to the speed Contours and pressure contours,after analysised of the experimental data,the author get the influence of the straight length and compression angle on fluid flow and die pressure drop, determined the final optimized structure parameters of the extrusion die.This paper draws some conclusions and methods, the author get the relationship curve of the influence of the straight length and compression angle on fluid flow and die pressure.The conclution and methods got in the paper are very valuable In test mode and the repair mode, reduced the design cycle of extrusion die, have an important significance for the conventional design of the extrusion die.
