Titanium alloy terminal box has complicated shape and high strength requirement. The traditional processing method of titanium alloy terminal box usually adopt the "more pieces connected" structural and "forging cutting processing" production mode. Terminal box has the lateral holes, so the traditional processing method hard to realize the extrusion forming of thin wall and lateral hole in the meantime. By the analysis of the special shape of parts and numerical simulation on forming technology of titanium alloy terminal box, a new multi way extrusion technology which is multi way active loading and the overall forming method for complex shape component use to realize forming on two perpendicular directions. For the physics experiment, the rationality of Multi way forming methods is examined.Through analyzing of Thermal deformation experiment, the influence of forming parameters on microstructures and mechanical properties of BTi 62421S alloys is researched. The optical forming parameter is received. The data basis for numerical simulation parameter selection is provided. Through analyzing of the special shape of parts, a plastic forming process scheme is put forward. Using DEFORM software to realize numerical simulation. The influence of different deformation parameters (deformation temperature, deformation velocity and friction factor) on the damage, the metal flow and extrusion pressure are analyzed. The feasibility of technological scheme is certified and by numerical simulation deformation parameter is optimized.Through analyzing of Thermal deformation experiment and numerical simulation, the optical forming parameter is received. The optical forming parameter is that deformation temperature is 900~950℃, deformation velocity is 2~5mm/s and friction factor is 0.2.Base on the above research, the physics experiment of terminal box is studied. The results show that extrusion pieces filling effect is good, the size meet the design requirement. The feasibility of Multi way extrusion process of terminal box is certified.
