The rotary kiln is the center equipment in building materials, metallurgy, chemical industry.It works in the circumstances with high temperature and overload for long. Cement rotary kiln is the core equipment in cement production,and the normal operation of rotary kiln has the important meaning in cement production.Ensuring good mechanical properties of the rotary kiln, can reduce mechanical wear, save coal and electricity,improve production efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to test and analyse mechanical equipment condition for the rotary kiln. In the operation process of the kiln, it is very important to ensure the axis straightnes of the kiln, ensure that each roller is in the correct position and uniform stress. The kiln is working for a long time,and the firebricks are wore out by all kinds of cement materials, so the firebricks may become thinner, or the kiln's centerline is not straight so the kiln shell could suffer from the force, leading the firebricks inside the shell to break down. If the firebricks break down, it could induce "red kiln" accident. If the roller is in abnormal operation state for a long time, its surface will appear to crack, and bearing will wire drawing because of overheat and break down; kiln will vibrate;Current will increases;Shell will craze and so on.Roller support the rotary kiln including tyre, shell, materials, refractory bricks and heat exchanger and so on.It play a crucial role in the normal operation of the kiln that roller is in place. In practical production, roller is easy to wear in production, roller bearing greater loads leads to bearings fever, even burning the tile or turning watts, and roller axis skewing may lead the cylinder to move up and down and the surface of itself and tire to wear heavily and so on.These accidents are related with axial force on roller. Through detecting the axial force and adjusting roller axial forces in the reasonable scope, it can effectively avoid these accidents,and it is of great significance to maintain the normal operation of the equipment, keep the enterprise of higher productivity. Therefore, it is very important to manufacture a detection roller axial forces measuring devices of the rotary kiln, and seek a more effective kiln's roller adjustment scheme for the adjustment.This paper analyses roller stress,and introduces rotary kiln roller operation measurement and adjusting method at home and abroad, by analysis and comparison, the paper provides a new roller position and stress measurement methods, and designes a instrument measuring roller axial force. The whole kiln's roller axial forces measurement system mainly consist of hydraulic equipment, mechanical transmission device,connection bracket, communication equipment and computer systems. Through the transmission device passing on the axial force, pressure sensor receives signals and convey them to DAQ. And then the data is conveyed to the computer system to process. Through the LabVIEW programming and the analysis and processing of data are given the measured results and the corresponding adjustment scheme of the roller, find out the skewed roller and adjust roller.
