| Objective:According to biomechanics and exercise physiology research methods, compare the bio-mechanical characteristics and energy consumption for runners with different brands of training shoes and racing flats, offering references for athletes and people who love running, making it easy for people who love running to choose suitable shoes. Methods:According to the flat foot pressure measurement and analysis system, three-dimensional high-speed camera system and CORTEX cardiopulmonary exercise test system, we measure 10 subjects with different running shoes on plantar pressure under a certain speed, foot inside and outside kinematics and energy metabolism and other parameters. Results:plantar pressure index in most parts of racing flats is greater than training shoes, with extraordinary differences in some parts; tendon angle of training shoes is smaller than racing flats and there are extraordinary differences in some brands; great differences exist in the process of oxygen uptake from 15 to 20 minutes between racing flats and training shoes of brand A, there are no significant differences in other brands of these two shoes at any time about energy consumption index; energy metabolism index of racing flats is smaller than training shoes, but in the period of 15 to 20 minutes, energy consumption of training shoes is less than racing flats of brand C; pressure index of brand B in each part is the largest, brand C training shoes have the minimum pressure index in the heel, while brand A have the minimum pressure index in the front foot; brand A training shoes have maximum angle of the tendon, followed by the brand C, the smallest is the brand B; there are no significant differences among A, B and C of the energy consumption; brand B racing flats have the maximum pressure index in different parts while pressure index in the heel of brand A and C racing flats are similar, with brand A smaller, brand C racing flats have the minimum pressure index in the front; brand C racing flats have the smallest maximum angle of the tendon, followed by brand A, and brand B the maximum. There are no significant differences among A, B and C racing flats about the energy expenditure. Conclusion:No matter which brand, the performance of shock absorption and the stability control of the training shoes are much better than the racing flats. There are great significances between the two types. Running training shoes have much better movement protection as it could protect both feet and ankle when running. Not all brands of running shoes show more energy consumption than training shoes. The differences of the energy consumption between the two types are related to the different weight and the sports function. With the same exercise intensity it also has relation with the exercise time. Different brands of training shoes show no great significant difference on the exercise functions; however, due to the different materials used and technical structure, the function specifications are different, such as the shock absorption performance, internal and external translation and energy consumption. Different brands of racing flats show no differences between the exercise functions. The different weight is the main aspect which affects the energy consumption. |
