Hot Strip Coiler is the important equipment for coiling strip in the hot strip milling line. Hydraulic Automatic Jump Control (AJC) system is regarded as the typical coiler for advanced configuration, because the system can well solve the impact problem of strip head and wrapper rolls by avoiding contacts of the strip head and wrapper rolls.Because of the bad application environment, load changing greatly and essential non-linear system, the normal PID controller can't assure this system has a good dynamic performance. Therefore this paper puts forward a fuzzy self-adapting PID control strategy which combines the fuzzy control technology and PID algorithm. Fuzzy self-adapting algorithm is not dependent on mathematic model of the system, and its controller possesses strong adaptive on-line setting ability, so the system can maintain good dynamic performance under complex work environment. At first the topic designed electro- hydraulic servo step control system based on 950 type coiler, and this step control system is mathematical modeling, then we respectively simulates the control system of fuzzy self-adapting strategy and the traditional PID control strategies using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation results show that effect of fuzzy self-adapting control is better than the traditional PID control because its small overshoots and quicker response speed.The traditional AJC is distributed control system adopting simulation signal measurement control, because of loud noise from production equipment in the control field , high-power motor and inverter, serious interference serious of electromagnetic , analog signals of sensors and actuators are susceptible to these interference effects, so the control accuracy is poor. According to the problems this paper puts forward a step Controll system based on CAN (Controll Area Network)bus. The control system is composed of hydraulic parts and electric parts: hydraulic parts are actuators of step control system, which is composed of servo valve and hydraulic cylinder hydraulic components etc. Electrical parts consists of CAN bus communication system, it mainly transfer the input/output information between controller and controlled objects. This control system adopts PC and embedded CAN constitute the intelligent node CAN communication system using twisted-pair cable as digital signal transmission medium , PIC16F877 single chip microcomputer as embedded microcontroller controller to accomplish real-time collection of pressure, position signal, and realize control algorithm. Embedded control node through an external circuit to achieve the effective control of hydraulic cylinder. Among step control systems based on CAN bus , various sensor detection information input and output signal act on actuators through CAN network the main controller CAN achieve full digital, improve the measurement and control accuracy, reduce the transmission error, enhance anti-interference ability. The CAN bus control system control multiple nodes, so when adding mill, we don't need to increase the number of new communication system equipment, we can connect nearby original twisted-pair, which not only save the cost but also reduce the design and installation workload.
