Under normal circumstances, squeeze casting is guaranteed to make the internalorganization of dense, smooth surface and excellent mechanical properties of castings. Butfor some uneven thickness pieces of castings in the implementation of liquid extrusionprocess, some thick parts of the casting prone to a number of the shrinkage cavity andporosity. The dual squeeze casting can feed the thick parts of casting, eliminating thecasting defect from whole or partial such as shrinkage cavity, crack and porosity. In viewof the forming process has a strong adaptability, related theories are not enough to make itas the study of this article.Firstly, this thesis builds the mathematical model of solidification field according tothe liquid-semi-solid-solid features of the dual squeeze casting. It proposes thesolidification process assumptions based on elastic-visco plastic constitutive model,analyses the mechanical behaviors of pressure feeding and determines the boundaryconditions of the solidification field, latent heat of crystallization, physical parameters andso on. Finally it establishes a casting feeding model based on hydromechanics.This paper summarized main points of the dual squeeze casting mould and designed thecavity of the mould of the wheel hub which is based on the process characteristics of thedual squeeze casting. This thesis designs a parting surface, the overflow pouring system,exhaust system, heating and cooling systems and other non-molded parts. With emphasison the molded part, it uses CAD software to design the mould of the wheel hub.The forming process parameters of the automotive wheels and mould are scientificallycombined based on orthogonal principle. It uses professional casting analysis software tosimulate the casting process and the effect on the casting defects of the various parametersis analyzed. Through the simulation,it obtains optimization program and then a comprehensive test program was carried out. The results show that the quality of thecasting is improved obviously.The process of the dual squeeze casting is complex,the various processes must beorderly conducted. This paper proposes the control requirements of the dual squeezecasting machine from the overall. It designs the PLC for main controlling unit, touch screenas the man-machine interface for the system solutions. Then the pressure on the forgingsector institutions hydraulic system is designed.
