| Embedded and co-cured composite damping structures is a new pre-processing damping structure, which is based on the fact that mechanical properties of composite structures can be designed. Various dynamic and static parameters can be determined in the phase of design to make the components which can meet the demand of design. Compared with traditional damping methods, the new damping structure has the advantages of anti-aging and uneasy delamination, etc, as a result, the structure can be widely used in aviation, aerospace and automotive industries.Manufacture processing of embedded and co-cured composite damping structures is very complicated. There are few research articles on the manufacture processing at home and abroad. A new damping layer formula and manufacture processing were proposed in this paper, which corresponded to the co-curing requirement of medium temperature curing resin. Co-curing with composite layers, we ultimately acquired the composite structure. And then its damping and sound insulation properties were studied. The main contents of the study are as follows:(1) According to the need of medium temperature epoxy resin curing and the demand of damping layer co-curing, a formula which used butyl rubber (IIR) and chloro-butyl rubber (CIIR) as main raw material was determined by adjusting the ratio of each component in a great many experiments.(2) According to the feasibility of manufacture of damping layer and the property of viscoelastic material, a method of mold molding was proposed to manufacture the partly co-curing damping layer membrane. For the problem arisen from the processing of damping layers manufacture, parameters of manufacture were discussed and determined in the end.(3) Appropriate medium temperature curing epoxy resin 5231 and glass fiber cloth were chose to make composite material prepreg. According to the requirement of specimen's layout, composite material prepreg is combined with damping layers. Then, the specimens were made according to the determined curing curve and processing parameters, which achieved the result of co-curing demands.(4) The specimens'properties of damping and sound insulation were measured. The conclusion is that the viscoelastic materials and the co-curing processing in this paper can improve the dynamic properties of composite materials. |
