Research On Policies And Inner-structure Adjustment Of WuXI Environmental Protection Industry

Environmental protection industry is a new strategic industry in our country and it's important for our country to implement the sustainable development strategy. Environmental protection industry in Wuxi City is typical and representative in China, it has owned a batch of advanced environmentally-friendly products & technology development efforts, and it has formed a certain scale environmental protection market and service system since 60s or 70s in last century. But comparing with some developed countries in the world and other cities in China, there're some significant gaps for Wuxi environmental protection industry which needs further improvement. At present, optimizing internal industry structure has been an urgent issue for promoting the development of environmental protection industry in Wuxi City.Starting with related theory of public management & industrial economics, this article will systematically analyze internal structure of Wuxi environmental protection industry on the basis of summing up the research results at home and abroad and borrowing ideas from development experience of environmental protection industry at home and abroad. Based on current situation of inner structure of Wuxi environmental protection industry, the article points out following main structural problems: (1) there's obvious structural deviation between output and market demand; (2) it lacks relevant industrial cluster effect; (3) insufficient investment in technological innovation,research and development has caused its capabilities of R&D lag behind, etc. On the other hand, the article also points out many favorable factors for the development of Wuxi environmental protection industry, for example (1) more and more government funds are being invested for the technological innovation; (2) there're preferential policies aiming at the projects of environmental protection, etc. The article puts forward selective ideas on account of internal structure optimizer mode of Wuxi environmental protection industry after learning successful upgrading experience of the industrial structure at home and abroad. In the end, it presents relative policies and proposals for the future adjustment of Wuxi environmental protection industry.
