With the difficulty enlargement of oil field development and water control, thelow-permeability reservoir will be an important goal for exploration and potentialexcavation. Wang 68 Block of Niuzhuang Oilfield exactly belong to this kind of reservoir.It's main oil-bearing series is the middle layers of Es3 with low permeability and lowporosity. After being developed for over 10 years, the development contradiction of thisblock is very serious. First, as a result of the long-term oil development by natural energy,there has been an rapid decrease in formation energy and oil production. Besides, thestratum deficit is more and more severe and most of the production wells can onlymaintain a low level of output. Second, with large well spacing, small well density as wellas low production speed and oil recovery, the present well pattern hardly meets therequirements of effective development. Third, the exploration of oil reserves is unbalancedboth in plane and vertically. The producing degree is high in main oil-bearing series andthose layers with large thickness, while it is comparatively lower in other parts of thereservoir. Last, there is only one injection well carrying out the water-injected test at themoment and the effective injection-production well system is unavailable. So, the waterflooding controllable reserve is low and the energy supplement effect is poor. Hense, thereis an urgent need to improve the formation energy by completing the injection-productionwell system. Based on the properties of this block, several sections are studied in order todeal with these issues in the paper. First of all, fine reservoir description is made, verticalseperation and plane spread rule of the middle member of Es3 is deeply researched, andphysical property, fluid propertiy, T P system and reservoir types are analyzed. Next,pre-development effects are synthetically evaluated, and the major influence factors arefound out. Then, the potential and direction of future development adjustment is putforward. Finally, with the reservoir numerical simulation technology, well density, wellpattern, well spacing, water injection time and the ratio of injection to production wellnumber are optimized. Based on which, the present paper proposed a completedevelopment adjustment projection for this block. Considering the reservoir geologicalcharacteristics of Wang 68 Block with low permeability, on basis of reservoir formationresearch and concentrating on the optimization of well pattern, well spacing, well densityand ratio of injection to production well number, this paper has researched the technologyneeded for improving the development effect in Wang 68 Block, which has significantmeaning for instructing the future development of this block and other reservoirs with thesimilar characteristics and improving the oil recovery...
