In the modern construction industry, the building structure of reinforced concrete has a very wide range of application, steel as an indispensable building material, it is in a great demand. The traditional steel bending equipments mostly use mechanical or hydraulic control methods, equipments' automation level is low, workers in labor-intensive, the shape of steel products are simple and low precision, they cann't meet some major projects' construction requirements. Based on this, we combined motion control technology and CNC technology to develop the special equipment for bending steel——5/12 automatic steel bending hoop machine, it has great practical significance for enhancing China's overall level of steel processing industry.At first, several common and advanced steel bending process equipments was introduced and the development status of motion control technology and CNC bending hoop machine at home and abroad was analyzed; 5/12 automatic steel bending hoop machine's working principle from two perspectives of manual control and automatic control was introduced, machine's performance indicators and its own characteristics was pointed out, machine's three components of mechanical system, electrical system and pneumatic system was introduced in detail.Sencondly, general design scheme of 5/12 automatic steel bending hoop machine's CNC system was determined based on its working principle and control requirements, analyzed 5/12 automatic steel bending hoop machine's servo system from multiple perspectives; established servo system's mathematical model and analyzed its stability performance, stable performance and dynamic performance.Thirdly, hardware and software systems for 5/12 automatic steel bending hoop machine's CNC system was designed. In hardware, introduced the selection of hardware and the design of external circuit simple; in software, program framework of manual control and automatic control was established, completed the program development for specific functions, the design process of man-machine interface and its functions was introduced briefly.At last, the main components communication of 5/12 automatic steel bending hoop machine's CNC system was tested, a introduction was given on the choice of communication options and the configuration of communication parameters in detail. Single component and united debugging was given on the CNC system; the springback phenomena in the bending process of steel was analyzed and studied, springback compensation method for the 5/12 automatic steel bending hoop machine was pointed out finally.
