Currently, with the increasing requirments of demand and quality for strip, the modernization of rolling mill is improved quickly, higher speed and precision are progressive goals of modern rolling mill. What's more, higher accuracy of the synchronization control is required. Inner parameters and outside load of operating-side and driving-side subsystems of cold rolling mill are different and uncertain, which can lead to different dynamic and static performances and asynchronous pressing down positions. Therefore synchronization control strategy applied in two cylinders system of rolling mill is an important issue.In this paper, I studied hydraulic synchronous control on bilateral hydraulic cylinder as the research object and combined the parameter models of rolling process, and then proposed different ways to achieve hydraulic synchronization of bilateral hydraulic cylinder according to the strip rolling process models and the actual production requirements.Firstly, the production process and control system based on rolling parameters of models in rolling process is analysised, and then the impact of various parameters on the thickness is described. Mathematical model of the hydraulic system is established.Secondly, by analysising the basic principles of mill for rolling mill bilateral cylinders synchronization, a method of combination BP neural network and the traditional PID control is proposed, which is a new hydraulic synchronous control method. The proposed method has theoretical and practical significance. Another control scheme is proposed according to state reconstruction theory, this method is simple and can be achieved easily.Finally, after considering the complexity of the actual production process, the proposed method is proved by simulation experiments. Results of experiments show that the feasibility of the method has theoretical and practical significance.
