With the rapid growth of Chinese automobile industry, the rubber demand for automobile is increasing quickly, and rubber manufacturing and rubber machinery industry has also been considerable progress. In the rubber production line, rubber cooling machine is used to cool the rubber kneaded and compressed into a sheet so that to avoid high temperatures lead to molecular chain scission. So the rubber cooling machine is an important part in mixing production line.This topic consider the R&D equipment as the main object, through making the detail analysis for prototype construction and working principle, focus on the cooling efficiency of air cooling machine and temperature uniformity in the sheet of rubber, and find out the cause of the slow cooling rate and poor quality of the prototype. This article simplified internal flow model of prototype for 2D and designed corresponding simulation program match with the flow model. The results contrast with the experimental data shows that this kind of simulation method is fit with the reality of working conditions by the numerical calculation. Through the simulation results, we could know that the velocity distribution of the flow field is not conducive the heat transferred from rubber to be taken away quickly, and the sheet surface temperature distribution is not uniform yet.This paper combined with the advantages of the original proposal and proposed lateral blast to cool sheet of rubber after identified various deficiencies and reasons. In the new program, inlet are designed as orifices and disposed at one side of the sheet, and dispose outlet on the other side to exhaust hot air directly. The advantage of jet blast is that can provide greater airflow turbulence intensity to enhance convection heat transfer course, and the main flow pattern of flow field is the outer surface of the film swept flow which could take away the heat transmitted from rubber and difficult to form a vortex region and weak convection zone. Then we made structural design and simulation work, the results from the simulation in the comparison shows the improved scheme can work more effectively on the rubber sheet in cooling process in the same work. And the results also shows that new scheme have a high improvement in the uniformity of the surface temperature after the sheet been cooled. Finally, we designed the pipeline structure and select the appropriate centrifugal blower and suction fan matched with the new design, designed and calculated the internal drive system.
