Recrystallization and grain growth are the important phenomena of physical metallurgical processes. Experiments for studying recrystallization and grain growth are time-consuming, hard to be controlled accurately. Computer simulation technology is a very effective means to simulate structural evolution and image simulation of recrystallization and growth of grain. In this paper, recrystallization and growth of grain are simulated by cellular automata method. Models of recrystallization and growth of grain are established based on cellular automata method, recrystallization theory of materials and simulation theory. Computer simulation and image analysis technology are combined to investigate simulation experiments of recrystallization and grain growth, structural evolution and morphological changes.Behaviors of recrystallization and growth of grain that used CA model and MC model respectively are in accord with the theoretical basis and practical rules. A new method is coupled together by CA and MC. This method gets a better simulation results about recrystallization kinetics which are keeping with existing theories and rules of recrystallization.
