Polyaniline/inorganic particles composite materials have application prospects in broad areas, such as in electrics, magnetics, microwave absorption, catalysis, battery materials and chemical sensors. The mono-dispersed spherical silica was synthesized through the sol-gel process. The orthogonal design method was used to explore the effect of raw materials concentration on the silicas'size, and the proper conditions were obtained. The polyaniline doped with sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS) was synthesized by chemical oxidation method. Some means, such as TEM, FT-IR and UV-vis were used to character these doped polyaniline particles. The influence of concentration proportion of raw materials on the diameter of polyaniline was investigated by orthogonal design method. The electrochemical property of polyaniline was studied by cyclic voltammetry.Aniline was polymerized in the silica suspension to form polyaniline-silica composite particles. The effect of different conditions including surfactants and temperature on the materials'structure was studied. The results showed that the uniform core(silica)-shell(polyan-iline) could be synthesized when the silica mono-dispersed particles were modified by cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB), and sodium dodecyl sulphate(SDS) was used as dopant.
