In this dissertation, a new type of fire water spray monitor that not only can jet a long rang,but also can cover a certain width and make droplets atomized before landing, is designed to prevent the warehouse of inflammable powder fire. In the warehouse of inflammable powder, the fire water spray monitor can prevent the burning powder to splash in order to avoid causing more widespread fires. The structure design of the fire water spray monitor mainly includes its nozzle and body.At the beginning, this dissertation expounds the water jet theory and lists the control equations of the turbulent jet of the fire water spray monitor that provide a theoretical basis for the structure design of the fire water spray monitor.Then, the nozzle is designed. First, the shape of the nozzle exit is designed as approximate rectangular. Through the linear scalability of water jet boundary and the simulation anslysis of FLUENT, the adjustable nozzle that only the width of the nozzle is changed is designed. At the same time, according to the simulation anslysis, the length of the adjustable nozzle is determined to 100m. After the adjustable nozzle structure design is completed, the stress and the interference analysis of the core parts must be done, in order to ensure the reliability of this structure. Finally, the sealing experiment need to be finished to prevent leakage.In the end, the structure of the fire water spray monitor including pipe shape and the transmission ways of pipe is designed. Based on a finite element analysis of three different flow channel, the flow channel whose bending radius is 100mm proved to be the best. And then, compared with the theoretical calculation results, the simulation results are validated. The transmission ways of flow channel use wrom drive. At last, the overall structure of the fire water spray monitor is designed.
