Considering the two-stage vibration isolation system of marine diesel engines, an active vibration isolation control technique based on the combined Fuzzy/PI algorithms is studies. The present study analyzed the reasons of error presence in the stability state of the fuzzy controller in detail and explored the corresponding solutions. The internal relationship between the fuzzy controller and PID controller is discussed also.According to the vibration characteristics of the two-stage vibration isolation systems, two fuzzy/PI control strategies, parallel and tandem, are discussed. The control simulative investigation of vertical vibration is conducted. The simulative results confirmed that the both strategies are effective for the periodic and random vibration signals. The fuzzy rules are extracted from input/output data of the two-stage vibration isolation system. The simulative investigation of fuzzy rule self-extraction is conducted on the diesel engine two-stage vibration isolation system experimental setup.
