Pneumatic technology is a subject that is developing fast and used in the field of industry widely. Flow rate characteristic is an important technology target. It is important to know the flow rate characteristic of pneumatic component exactly for modeling the pneumatic control system,improving the quality of pneumatic pruduct and developing our country's pneumatic industry. Now there are several means can express the flow rate characteristic of pneumatic component. It is necessary to make clear their meanings and relation. It is useful for understanding the meaning of flow rate characteristic and parameter conversion. Now traditional method is mostly when testing the flow rate characteristic, which is inefficient and not very exact. So it brings an important subject that is designing a convenient and precise testing system. To resolve above problems, the paper analyzes the flow rate characteristic of pneumatic component and design a system for testing flow rate characteristic. Finally I will experiment to make clear the flow rate characteristic. The paper is disparted to five chapters.Chapter 1 firstly introduces the application of pneumatic technology and brings the study significance of flow rate characteristic. It shows the importantance of flow rate characteristic for modeling the pneumatic control system,selecting the component when designing pneumatic system.. And then introduce actuality study of flow rate characteristic.Chapter 2 analyzes and studys the flow rate characteristic of pneumatic component and the testing methods. It firstly analyzes factors affecting flow rate characteristic, and presents some methods expressing the flow rate characteristic. And then introduce the flow rate characteristic testing methods established by ISO6358,China,America and FESTO Company. Finally It analyzes the relation of some parameters, basing the testing system.Chapter 3 introduces a testing system based computer and data collection through the study of flow rate characteristic and testing methods. It also introduces hardware system design,component selecting and software design and present design process.Chapter 4 dose research on the flow rate characteristic of pneumatic component and the testing through experimentation. It mainly studys the relations of upriver absolute pressure and flow, the relations of differential pressure and flow, the influence of testing pipe to the result. It is useful for comprehending the meaning of the flow rate characteristic deeply and improving on the testing system.Chapter 5 is summing-up and prospect of the paper, It introduces my work and some conclusions of study. And then presents the prospect for flow rate characteristic and testing methods.
