At present,due to surface water pollution is becoming increasingly serious,the water quality of the lakes and reservoirs is getting to worse,the algae increase.The increasing pollution of drinking water source is causing serious problems in water quality,so the deveiopment of pollutants removal process characterized by high effectiveness and low coat is in urgent need in China.Enhanced conventional water treatment has the advantages of short-term investment,high treatment efficiency and easy operation.This dissertation aims at studying a novel combined process of potassium permanganate(PP) and powered activated carbon(PAC) for various pollutants removal from drinking water.The performance and influencing factors and the mechanism of the combined process had been investigated with various experimental technologies.According to the analysis of water quality indexes of raw water,the source water quality can be divided into two stages.The pilot study is carried out on enhanced coagulation and enhanced filtration of raw water during the periods of serious odor.TON is used as the main index for water treatment evaluation.There are such conclusions:(1) It is the outbreak period of taste and odor of water from June to August, water quality indexes such as TON,algae had greatly increased during the period.. Taste and odor of water was mainly attributable to a:surface water sediments as a result of the rainy season in summer,the sediments make the surface of sediment re-suspension,and release material having odors,b:Alage which make water quality deteriorate had greatly reproducion deterioration of water quality,.Algae growth and reproduction is the most important reason..(2) The orthogonal test results with brake showed that the best way of the use about potassium permanganate in combination with powered activated carbon is to apply the temperature of 20℃,pH value of 7.5,the PAC of 50mg\L,the KmnO4 of 0.5mg\L,Precipitayion time of 5 minutes.(3) The water quality indexes after the process potassium permanganate in combination with powdered activated carbon process are TON 6.71,with the removal rate of 94.4%;turbidity 0.68NTU,with the removal rate of 92.38%;colority 5.5,with the removal rate of 87.52%,CODMn1.51mg/L,with the removal rate of 70.7%; algae concentration 482,000/L,with the removal rate of 99.10%.
