Brontispa longissima (Gestro) as a inbreaking insect introduced in our country severely harmed coconut, areca and other palmaceous vegetation, and leaded to seriously economical and ecological losing. The study in this dissertation was focused on applying Metarhizium anisopliae var.anisoploae to control Brontispa longissima (Gestro) , and study on the biology, ecology, integrated control and prevalence in field. The main study contents in the dissertation are as follows:1. Distribution of Brontispa longissima (Gestro) in coconut treeThe study showed Brontispa longissima (Gestro)gathered in the 30cm~90cm toped of coconut tree and spreaded along the central leaves.2. Toxicity of Metarhizium anisopliae to Brontispa longissima (Gestro) and the p athology of Metarhizium anisopliaeIt is measured the toxicity of Metarhizium anisopliae to Brontispa longissima (Gestro), and the result shows showed: LD50 of oil preparation is 49310.44±19019.83 spore/ml, and LD50 of bait preparation is higher than water preparation, and the appropriate concentration oil preparation is 1×108 spore/ml.The disease is spreaded of Metarhizium anisopliae to Brontispa longissima indicated: the disease can be infected Brontispa longissima colony naturally in the region, two disease high peaks of coconut pest occurred by Metarhizium anisopliae The first high peak which distributed in using Metarhizium anisopliae was higher, the spore of Metarhizium anisopliae could be spread to surrounding environment by popular of the spore in the original disease region. Infection rate was gradually lower, along with the extension from original disease region, infection rate rised gradually to the second peak, then reduced slowly along with the time of using Metarhizium anisopliae. The...
