Study On The Objectification Of Tongue Type 2 Diabetes Based On Image Analysis

Tongue diagnosis is one of the most important diagnostic methods,it reflects the rise and fall of body organs function. With the development of Chinese medicine, Tongue diagnosis gradually formed a theoretical system.Many scholars have studied type 2 diabetes tongue picture in recent years.But they use personal experience to judge,it is lack of standardized. So the objective study of type 2 diabetes tongue picture is significant.Objectives:To explore the common tongue of modern type 2 diabetes preliminarily, analyse each tongue difference,elaborate internal relations of modern diabetes etiology, pathogenesis characteristics. Further explore the value of standardization and quantitative of tongue diagnosis in the study of type 2 diabetes, thus providing a reliable basis for objective, individualized diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:Screen 208 cases recording of type 2 diabetes patients from June 2011 to June 2013. Extract data by Filemaker and analyze tongue pictures by Photoshop.Measure the values of colour of tongue texture and tongue coating,including R、G、B、R+G+B、R/R+G+B、 G/R+G+B、B/R+G+B、L、a、b.Data are compared by SPSS 19.0.Results:1. The study included patients with 208 cases, including 119 male cases, accounting for 57.2%; female 89 cases, accounting for 42.8%. Minimum age is 13 years old and the oldest is 76 years old, the average age is 51.5 years old.208 cases of patients with mean BMI 25.18; average duration of 76.81 months.2. The characteristics of tongue color:the average color of 208 cases tongue is dark red.The RGB、Lab values of each tongue colour decreasing order is:R value:deep red>light red>dark red>red> pale white> purple;G value:deep red>pale white>red>light red>dark red>purple;B value:pale white>light red>dark red>red>deep red>purple; R+G+B value:deep red>pale white>light red>red>dark red>purple;L value:deep red>light red＞＞urple>red>dark red>pale white;a value:deep red>purple>light red>red> dark red> pale white;b value:deep red> red> light red> dark red> pale white> purple.3.The characteristics of sublingual vein:R、B、R+G+B、L、a values of yu/zhi/bi group are all lower than normal group(P<0.05). 4. The characteristics of tongue coating:the average color of 208 cases tongue coating is lihgt yellow. The RGB、Lab values of each tongue coating colour decreasing order is:R value:white>grey>yellow and white>light yellow>yellow>deep yellow;G value:grey> white> yellow> yellow and white> deep yellow>light yellow;B value:white>grey>light yellow>yellow and white>yellow>deep yellow;L value:light yellow> yellow and white>deep yellow>grey>white> yellow;a value:deep yellow> yellow>white>yellow and white>light yellow>grey;b value:deep yellow> yellow> yellow and white> light yellow> white>grey.Conclusiont The study found that dark red tongue,yellow thick and greasy coating,sublingual vein stasis are more common in type 2 diabetic patients,which are different with other tongue picture in RGB、Lab. It shows that the objective study of tongue inspection can be realized.From 208 cases of type 2 diabetic patients tongue,proved mainly pathogenesis are phlegm dampness heat.
