BackgroundAcute ischemic stroke (AIS)is a common disease, the high morbidity, high mortality, high morbidity and high recurrence rate of stroke bring a heavy economic and psychological burden to their families and the community. From point of Western meidicine, the major studied basis points of treatments are thrombolytic and neuroprotection.Currently, only thrombolytic therapy was confirmed with stable and reliable efficacy, but no pharmacological agents with putative neuroprotective actions have demonstrated efficacy in improving outcomes after ischemic stroke. Because of medical conditions, the time window, contraindications psychosis reason constraints, the rate of thrombolytic therapyis very low,and most of the AIS patients were still on conservative therapy. As an important part of Chinese traditional culture, Chinese medicine has some advantages in the treatment of AIS.The TCM pathogenesis on AIS mainly contain " the inside deficiency and externale wind invasion ", and gradually developed into the " internal wind theory",and the " internal wind theory" is gradually more and more valued. There are also many different opinions about stroke pathogenesis, such as toxin damaging brain collaterals.Differential Treatments based on such views also achieved good results. The efficacy of Western medicine in the treatment of AIS is still not satisfied. Therefore, the literature review of this paper study on the current status of TCM pathogenesis and treatment of AIS,and western treatment of AIS, which to help understand the current status of AIS.On the basis of Chinese classics and modern medical research,DC.Jiuliang.Zhang explain the pathogenesis from the viewpoint of "zang shen", "gu xie",And the treatment based on the view has achieved some effect in clinical.ObjectivTo evaluate the effect of the decoction, which is based on the theory of zang shen", "gu xie" by DC.Jiuliang.Zhang,on improving the neurological damage of AIS.MethodsUsing retrospective case-control study method,we collected 45 cases of acute ischemic stroke within 72 hours, that with limb dysfunctions, between January 1,2005 to December 31,2014,of China-Japanese Friendship Hospital. And the patients were treated with conservative treatment and decoctions prescribed by DC.Jiuliang.Zhang.as the treatment group. And 45 cases of Neurology were randomly collected, which were with the same clinical situations, but only treated withthe treatment group,as the control group. The score of neurological injuryof both groups were assessed when admission. Then analysis the differences of the clinical situation of between the two groups, such as gender, age, risk factors for the merger, the main comorbidities, infarct location, severity, conventional treatment. The score of neurological injury were assessed hospitalized when the 21th day or discharge to evaluate and compare the efficacy of the two groups.ResultsIn the treatment group, one case was basically recovered,8 cases significant progress,16 cases progress, the total efficiency of is 55.56%.In the control group, one case was basically recovered,4 cases significant progress,9 cases progress, the total efficiency is 31.11%;two groups statistically significant differences in efficiency statistically, the P value=0.019(<0.05).ConclusionFor AIS patients, with the basis of the conventional treatment, the decoction treatment based on the theory of "guxie" and "zangshen" improve the neurological injury of AIS patients.
