| Objective:To investigate the clinical features of ischemic stroke patients with female reproductive system malignant tumors. Methods:The clinical data of of ischemic stroke patients with female reproductive system malignant tumor admitted to the first affiliated hospital of Guangxi medical university from January2007to December2013, were reviewed. Results:Nine ischemic stroke patients with female reproductive system malignant tumor age from39to58year old and mean age (51.56±7.20) year old were enrolled, which accounted for0.51%of the1780patients with female reproductive system malignant tumor at the same period. Of them, six patients (66.67%) could not found conventional vascular risks, with a higher D-dimer level in external blood, and with two or more than two lesions in multiple artery supply regions in their brain MRI. Ischemic stroke occurred from9days42days after reproductive system malignant tumor determined and the involved types of malignancy including endometrial adenocarcinoma (4cases), cervical adenocarcinoma (3cases), and ovarian adenocarcinoma (2cases). At90days after the cerebral infarction,5patients died. Conclusions:It was suggested that the ischaemic stroke patients with female reproductive system malignant tumors have distinct features including lack of conventional vascular risks, with a higher D-dimer level in external blood, and with two or more than two lesions in multiple artery supply regions in their brain MRI. And most patients had a bad prognosis. Coagulopathy may responsible for the mechanism which resulted in ischaemic stroke in patients with female reproductive system malignant tumors. Objective:To investigate the clinical features of ischemic stroke as the initial manifestation in patients with systemic malignancy. Methods:The clinical data of patients with ischemic stroke in the first affiliated hospital of Guangxi medical university, and within the period when receiving treatment were firstly demonstrated with no-intracranial malignancy, were consecutively enrolled from January2005to December2012.Results:Twenty six patients, with age from twenty four to fifty fine and mean age (39.42±8.05) year old, were enrolled, and of them nineteen cases were men and seven cases were women. All patients underwent a blunt attack with manifestations of hemiplegic paralysis, hemiplegic paralysis and without any symptoms before the mentioned symptoms. Most patients had not conventional vascular risk (19cases,73.08%), with a higher D-dimer level (16cases,61.54%), a higher cancer agent (CA)125level (19cases,73.08%) and a higher CA199level (20cases,76.92%) in external blood. And most patients had more than two ischemic lesions in their brain with poor prognosis. Among the involved types of malignancy, lung cancer counting twelve cases (46.15%) was at the first, and then was followed by liver cancer (5cases,19.23%).Conclusions:It was suggested that the systemic malignancy patients with ischemic stroke as the initial manifestation tended to have poor vascular risks and prognosis. With higher levels of D-dimer and tumor antigen in external blood, more lesions in brain, more artery supplied needed to consider the possibility of systemic malignancy. |
